2.     OUR PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

2.1  General

Maskot Bildbyrå AB is the owner of the service Maskot Invite. The service implies requests for image and/or video productions (“Content”) from members (“Contributors”). Within the scope of the service, Maskot Invite process personal data with regard to Contributors who offer their Content to Maskot Invite as well as to consumers (“Customers”) who requests Content from Maskot Invite. Information on Maskot Invite’s processing of personal data is outlined in the Sections 2.2-2.3 below.

 

2.2  What personal data do we process and for which purpose?

Personal data will be processed by Maskot Invite in following situations.

i)      When you contact Maskot Invite with a general question, e.g. about our service or work opportunities. We will process the personal data which you provide us with, such as name and e-mail address. We will process the data with the purpose of handling your inquiry.

ii)    When you provide Maskot Invite with Content, we will process your/the photographers name as well as your contact details and billing information. We process the data in order to provide our service.

iii)  When you provide Maskot Invite with Content which consists of still and/or moving images of people, we will process the data in order to be able to provide our service.

iv)   When you provide Maskot Invite with Content where other personal data appears, such as personal names in captions, we will process the names and/or other personal data in order to provide our service.

v)    When you purchase Content from Maskot Invite, we will process your personal data such as your name, e-mail address, phone number, address and payment details. We process the data in order to be able to deliver the service.

vi)   When you have purchased Content from Maskot Invite, we might process your personal data, such as name and e-mail address, in order to market ourselves and our services. If you do not wish to receive marketing, please e-mail us at info@maskot.se.

 

2.3  Legal grounds

Maskot Invite process personal data on the following legal grounds:

  • When you contact Maskot Invite via e-mail or telephone, we process your personal data for our legitimate interest in handling your inquiry. This means that we process the personal data after concluding that our interest in handling the inquiry outweighs your interest, fundamental rights or freedoms, i.e. balancing test, and that the processing is necessary for the purpose in question.

  • For the Content you provide Maskot Invite with, we process personal data based on the contract we have entered into.

  • When you purchase Content from Maskot Invite, the processing of personal data is based on the contract we enter into.

  • If we process your personal data for marketing purposes, we have concluded that our interest in marketing ourselves and our services outweighs your interest, fundamental rights or freedoms, and that the processing is necessary for the purpose in question.

  

3.     USE OF COOKIES

This website uses cookies and other similar techniques.

 

3.1  Your consent is necessary

As a visitor on our website, you may give your consent to the use of cookies. Your consent is required for the use of cookies except for such cookies that are necessary to enable the service that you as a visitor have requested. You can at any time withdraw your consent by adjusting your web browser’s settings to not consent to the use of cookies. You can still access our website if you select to not consent to the use of cookies, however, the use of certain functions on our website may be limited, see further Section 3.7 below.

 

3.2  What are cookies?

Cookies can be described as text files containing numbers and letters sent from our web server to be saved on the visitor’s device or web browser. When referring to cookies in this Privacy policy, other similar techniques and tools that store information in the visitor’s browser are included. Examples are pixels, session storage and fingerprinting. The website will “remember” and “recognize” you. This can be done by placing cookies in three different ways:

  • Until the session ends, meaning that these cookies are stored temporarily in the visitor’s computer until the web browser is shut down.

  • Time-limited, meaning that these cookies have a specified duration, or lifetime, that determine how long it is stored on the visitor’s web browser.

3.3  Third-party cookies

We use third-party cookies on our website. Third-party cookies are established by a third party’s website, in this case by a company other than Maskot Invite. Maskot Invite uses external platforms to communicate digitally such as Facebook, Google Marketing Platform, Google Ads and Salesforce. These platforms use both first- and third-party cookies as well as similar techniques to advertise and follow up the results of the advertising.

A third-party cookie can be used by several websites to understand and track how the user browses between different sites. Maskot Invite receives information from these cookies, however, the information can also be used for other purposes determined by third parties. Third-party cookies used on our website are covered by each third-party privacy policy. Feel free to read these to understand what other purposes the information can be used for. 3.4  Cookies on our website

In order for you to receive a better control over the cookies used on the website and therefore be able to decide how cookies should be used when visiting our website, we have listed three different categories of cookies. These categories are delimited based on the purposes for which the cookies are used.

Our Cookie Table (Appendix 1) lists which category each cookie belongs to, for what purposes it is used and for how long it is active. We have identified and listed the following categories of cookies, which all contain cookies which implies that data is shared with third parties.

Necessary
These cookies are necessary in order for our website to operate properly and safely. For this reason, these cookies cannot be turned off.

User experience
These cookies give us information about how our website is used and give us the opportunity to improve your experience when visiting the website. There are also features that allow access to your settings such as language selection, addresses, etc.  

Marketing
These cookies help us and our partners to personalize ads based on your surfing behavior. This category of cookies is used for targeted marketing and profiling, regardless of which device or devices you have used. Information collected for these purposes can be combined with your customer data as well as your traffic data, provided that you have given your consent for Maskot Invite to use your traffic data and not raised any objections to the use of your customer data for marketing purposes, see further Section 4 below.

 

3.5  Manage settings

We save your choice of settings for 12 months. After the expiry of 12 months, we will ask you again. Please note that several cookies have a specified duration, or lifetime, that exceed 12 months. Therefore, you may need to change the settings in your browser and delete all cookies manually.

3.6  Do Not Track-Signals

If you have chosen to turn on the Do Not Track-Signals function in your browser, we will not place cookies for marketing purposes automatically. You can make other choices in your cookie settings.

 

3.7  If you disable cookies

If you disable all cookies in your device’s browser settings, the performance and functionality of our website may be impaired, since certain features are dependent on cookies. Disabling cookies can therefore result in that the website’s services do not function properly, and some essential functionality may not work.  

 

4.     THE RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT

In terms of your personal data, you have the right in several situations to request information from Maskot Invite regarding what personal data we process. Maskot Invite will upon your request (or by its own initiative) erase or rectify inaccurate personal data or limit the use of personal data. Additionally, you are also entitled to object to specific processing of personal data such as for direct marketing purposes.

Data subjects are entitled to receive personal data that they have provided and have such data transferred to a third party.

If you are dissatisfied with how Maskot Invite process your personal data, you can report to the Swedish Data Inspection Board, which is the supervisory authority for the processing of personal data.

5.     HOW IS YOUR PERSONAL DATA PROTECTED?

Maskot Invite is using IT systems to maintain the privacy and secrecy of the personal data. Maskot Invite has performed several security measures in order to protect such data against unauthorized as well as unlawful processing. Data will only be accessible for those persons who need to process the personal data in order for Maskot Invite to fulfill the purposes stated in Section 2.2 above.

 

6.     TRANSFER OF DATA TO THIRD PARTIES

Maskot Invite may transfer information to a third party if it is necessary for us to be able to provide our services, or if we have a legal obligation to transfer the information.

 

7.     TRANSFER TO A THIRD COUNTRY

Maskot Invite mainly manages personal data within the EU/EEA. If a transfer of personal data to a third country is performed, Maskot Invite will ensure that the transfer is performed in accordance with current data protection legislation.

 

8.     INTERNAL MANAGEMENT

Maskot Invite has established internal guidelines regarding the management of personal data.

 

9.     CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Our Privacy policy might be subject to changes in the future. The latest version of the policy is always available on our website. For updates that materially change this Privacy policy, or in the event that data is to be processed in another manner than was stated in the Privacy policy, Maskot Invite will provide you information in an appropriate manner.
